Jewellery stolen from two houses
POLICE in Banbridge are investigating the theft of large quantities
of jewellery stolen during two burglaries last Friday (29th April).
A house in Beechlands was broken into sometime between 10am and
6pm and a number of rooms entered. A quantity of jewellery was stolen
from the house including a gold cluster diamond ring, a gold ring
with diamonds surrounding an amethyst stone, a gold ring with a
large amethyst stone, a silver ring with an opal stone and a cameo
brooch in a pink velvet box. A house in Willow Drive was also broken
into on this date.
The house is believed to have been entered via a rear patio door
sometime between 8.30am and 6pm. A quantity of jewellery was stolen
in this burglary also and included a 9ct gold wedding ring (with
design), a sapphire and diamond gold engagement ring, a sapphire
and diamond eternity ring.
Also a gold bracelet with a lock on it, a 9ct gold belcher chain
with a black and onyx fob on it, a gold rope chain, a pair of gold
cufflinks with a pattern on them, a gents gold belcher chain and
a 9ct gold gents signet ring with a small diamond in it. Police
are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed any persons
or vehicles acting suspiciously in either of these areas last Friday.
They would also like anyone who may be offered similar types of
jewellery for sale at reduced prices or from dubious sources to
